Montgomery County Commission for Women and Montgomery Women Announce 2026 Women Making History Award Recipients – Mocofeed

The 2026 Women Making History Award is an annual recognition presented by the Montgomery County Commission for Women in partnership with Montgomery Women. The prestigious award honors exceptional women in the County who have made significant contributions to their professions and communities. They are women who are advocating for a more equitable and empowered future for all.

The honorees were nominated by their peers for their leadership, dedication, and impact in areas such as civic engagement, professional excellence, and social change. All nominees must live or work in Montgomery County—a requirement for receiving this award.

The 2026 Women Making History honorees are:

“The women being recognized with the 2026 Women Making History Award exemplify the strength, talent, and vision that make Montgomery County exceptional,” said Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich. “Their achievements in leadership, advocacy, and service inspire all of us to continue building a community that is inclusive, equitable, and supportive of every woman’s potential. As we celebrate Women’s History Month, let us honor their contributions and recommit to creating opportunities for women to thrive.”
