Montgomery County Commission for Women 2026 Girl Power Contest: Celebrating Women’s History Month – Mocofeed

Posted on March 3, 2026

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, March 3, 2026

In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Montgomery County Commission for Women (CFW), in partnership with Montgomery County Recreation and Montgomery County Public Libraries, invites residents to participate in the ninth annual Girl Power Contest.

This year’s contest invites residents to reflect on the women—past and present—who have demonstrated extraordinary real-life “superpowers.” Who inspires you—whether a historical figure, family member, neighbor, or advocate—and how did she use her strengths to make a meaningful difference?

County residents ages five and older are invited to submit a short story, poem, drawing, or other creative work related to this topic.

The deadline to submit is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31. Submissions are limited to one per person. Written entries should be no more than 500 words and must include full name, age, grade and school (if applicable), telephone number, and email address.
