The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services’ (DHHS) Tobacco Community Grant program invites residents of all ages to join the Cancer and Tobacco Program Park Clean Up Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, at the Matthew Henson Trail, located at 13421 Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring. The Park Clean Up Day will also provide an opportunity for residents to connect with DHHS staff and learn more about local tobacco prevention and cessation programs. This event is part of Montgomery County’s ongoing efforts to reduce tobacco-related harm, promote cancer prevention, and improve environmental health across the County.

Residents are encouraged to bring family, friends, and colleagues to participate. Supplies for cleanup will be provided on-site.
