Missing Six-Year-Old Located in Park Pond
For Immediate Release: Sunday, July 28, 2024
Gaithersburg, MD – The body of a six-year-old who went missing on Saturday, July 27, 2024 has been recovered.
Fawzan Hassan was last seen at approximately 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon. An extensive search for the boy continued through Sunday when his body surfaced in the pond at Bohrer Park at 5:25 p.m.
Montgomery County Police Managed Search Operations Team personnel who were coordinating the search responded to the pond and recovered the body, which has been positively identified as Fawzan Hassan. The family has been notified, and he has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the exact cause of death.
