The missing woman, identified as Judith Woodard, was tracked to Montgomery County, with the assistance of automated license plate reader (LPR) technology, after her cell phone was pinged in the area. Woodard had been driving for nearly 24 hours through three states, New York, New Jersey and Maryland, before officers in multiple districts were notified and began circulating a lookout for her.

4th District officers located Woodard safe and unharmed in her vehicle at the intersection of Randolph Road and New Hampshire Avenue.

Woodard was transported to an area hospital and later reunited with family.
