The Montgomery County Board of Education has formally installed Leul Dawit, a rising junior at Northwood High School, as its 49th Student Member of the Board (SMOB). As the student voice on the Board, Dawit will represent the interests and perspectives of more than 155,000 students across Montgomery County. His priorities include amplifying student voice, improving school infrastructures and services, supporting student well-being and promoting equitable access to educational opportunities.
