After Maryland Matters reported on Justice department setting their sights on Maryland voter registration, Jared DeMarinis, the state administrator of elections said that Maryland Board of Elections has received numerous calls regarding the release of the voter registration list to the DOJ and sent a letter requesting what the intended use of the list is.

“Recently @md_sbe has received numerous calls regarding the release of the voter registration list to the DOJ. I sent a letter requesting what the intended use of list will be. Maryland voters have a right to know. The list may not used in a manner of intimidation, only electoral”
