MCPD Homicide Asking Public’s Help Locating Suspect in Montgomery Village Homicide; Second Suspect in Custody

Gaithersburg, MD – A Montgomery Village man has been arrested in connection with an April 26, 2025, homicide that occurred on Brookridge Court.
Detectives are now asking for the public’s assistance in locating 19-year-old Jordan Nylen Hungerford, who remains at large and is wanted in connection with this homicide.
On Thursday, May 1, 2025, 20-year-old Demari Howard Brown was arrested by Montgomery County Task Force Officers Assigned to the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division identified Brown and Hungerford as suspects in the shooting death of 20-year-old Henry Krishawn Gilbert of Montgomery Village.
Based on evidence linking Brown and Hungerford to the death of Gilbert, detectives requested and obtained an arrest warrant on Wednesday, April 30, charging both suspects with first-degree murder and armed robbery.
Brown has been transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
