This is the MCPD daily crime summary for June 22, 2026. Notably, there were multiple incidents of hate/bias vandalism reported on this date.
Incidents
- Hate/Bias Vandalism – E.E. Halmos Park, 16900 block Hoskins Road – An antisemitic symbol was drawn in chalk on a pickleball court. Other court and play surfaces were also marked.
- Fatal Collision – 11300 block Woodglen Dr. – A single vehicle struck a barricade inside a parking garage. The adult woman driving was killed, and an adult man riding with her was taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
- Residential Burglary – 13800 block Castle Blvd. – A man kicked in the front door of an apartment while the resident was eating dinner inside. He stepped in but ran off when the resident saw him. Nothing was taken.
- Auto Theft (Recovered / Arrest) – Between Sunday, June 21 at 11 p.m. and Monday, June 22 at 7 a.m. – 19300 block Circle Gate Dr. – A vehicle was stolen overnight. Officers found it Monday and two people were taken into custody.
- Hate/Bias Incident – Giant Food, 20900 block Frederick Rd. – A man and his father were walking through the Giant parking lot when a vehicle sped past them and the driver stopped, yelled a racial slur at the two.
- Auto Theft – Between Sunday, June 21 at 6 p.m. and Monday, June 22 at 10 a.m. – Unit block – Between Sunday, June 21 at 6 p.m. and Monday, June 22 at 7:30 a.m. – 8700 block Rangesway Ave. – A vehicle was reported stolen.
