This is the MCPD daily crime summary for July 1, 2026. Notably, there were multiple incidents of commercial burglary reported in the area.
Incidents
- Theft from Vehicle (Airbag) – 2400 block Lyttonsville Rd. – A window was broken and the airbag was stolen from a vehicle.
- Commercial Burglary (Arrest) – Bethesda Metro Center – Someone broke into a commercial building. Officers arrested two people nearby. Nothing was taken.
- Commercial Burglary – 11600 block New Hampshire Ave. – Someone broke into a church and took equipment.
- Robbery (Strong-Arm) – 13200 block New Hampshire Ave. – A group of people assaulted two teenagers and took their belongings in a parking lot.
- Armed Robbery – 800 block Russell Ave. – Several people forced their way into a hotel room and demanded at the two people inside and took property before the group left.
