In-Person Public Open House on New Hampshire Avenue Flash Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Planning Study on Wednesday, May 14

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a public open house to discuss the New Hampshire Avenue Flash Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Planning Study. The in-person public open house will focus on the New Hampshire Avenue BRT corridor, which is planned to run from Fort Totten Metro Station to Colesville Road. MCDOT is seeking public input that may influence the outcome of the project.

- Project Overview : Learn about the New Hampshire Avenue Flash BRT Planning Study, including the planned route, station locations, and service features.
- Study Alternatives : Explore alternatives to improve travel time and service reliability along New Hampshire Avenue. Improvement options include dedicated bus lanes, intersection improvements, and safety enhancements for pedestrian and bicycle connections.
- Community Benefits : Find out how the project aims to improve everyday travel, expand access to key destinations, and support a stronger and more connected Montgomery County.
