In-Person Community Meeting on Safe Routes to School Project for Wheaton Woods Elementary School on Wednesday, Jan. 15

For Immediate Release: Monday, December 16, 2024

On Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 7 p.m., the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold an in-person meeting to present the concept design for safety improvements at four different locations near Wheaton Woods Elementary School . The locations are Faroe Place at Evanston Street; Faroe Place at Freeland Road; Faroe Place at Parkland Drive and Grenoble at Parkland Drive. MCDOT encourages residents to attend the meeting, share input, and provide any suggestions that may better reflect community needs and safety of students walking and biking to the school.

The meeting will be held at the Wheaton Woods Elementary School, All Purpose Room, located at 4510 Faroe Place in Rockville.

Registration is not required. Prior to the meeting, the public is encouraged to review the concept plan on the project website here . For a list of ongoing Walkshed Safety Studies click here .

Comments and questions may be submitted by email to [email protected] or by phone at 240-777-2192. The deadline to submit comments is Friday, Feb. 14. Written feedback will carry the same weight as oral testimony.
