Extended Service Hours on the Great Seneca Ride On extRa Lime Route

Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is excited to announce that the Great Seneca Ride On extRa Lime route , which runs between Shady Grove Metro and the Traville Gateway Drive via Brochart Road and Medical Center Way, will now offer extended service hours until 10:10 p.m. starting Sunday, Nov. 17. This change will make it easier for riders to enjoy later trips to and from Downtown Crown, Rio, and the Life Science Center.
During weekday peak rush hour periods, this route has service every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends. Below is the new schedule for the Lime route:

On Sunday, Sept. 8, MCDOT launched the Great Seneca Transit Network service offering commuters and residents faster, more frequent transit through two new Ride On extRa bus routes, designated as “Pink” and “Lime”.
The new bus routes run east-west connections between the Shady Grove Metro and the Traville Gateway Transit Center, adjacent to the Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville. The Pink route links the busy Shady Grove corridor with the Life Sciences Center via Medical Center Drive. The Lime route uses I-370 to provide an express route to RIO, Crown Farm and the heart of the Life Sciences Center at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove,the Medical Center.
MCDOT Ride On bus fare is only $1 and monthly passes are $22.50 using SmarTrip, cash, or tokens. Seniors age 65 or older, persons with disabilities and youth ages 18 and under all ride free using specialized SmarTrip cards.
