Make plans to join Montgomery County’s 31st annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Observance and Birthday Celebration starting at 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19. The Music Center at Strathmore, located at 5301 Tuckerman Lane in North Bethesda, will host the ceremony and performances. As always, the event is free but tickets should be reserved online at www.strathmore.org.

- Donovan Holt-Harrington (ACT-SO National Gold Medalist)
- Craig Martin (ACT-SO Local Gold Medalist)
- Northwest High School Latin Dance Team, Paso Fuerte(MCPS 2025 Latin Dance Competition Winner)
- Gaithersburg High School Latin Dance Team, Sabor Latino (MCPS 2025 Latin Dance Competition Second Place)
Attendees are encouraged to bring donations for Interfaith Works homeless shelters, particularly new personal toiletries, socks, and gloves.
The theme “Every Kind of People… a Blueprint For Unity” reflects Dr. King’s vision of dignity, self-worth, determination, justice, beauty, unity, and commitment.
