Driver Charged in Fatal Collision on Frederick Road

Gaithersburg, MD  – The Montgomery County Department of Police has arrested 22 -year-old Kevin Antonio Flores of Gaithersburg, on charges of cr iminally n egligent m anslaughter by v ehicle. The charges stem from a fatal collision that occurred on Saturday, August 30, 2023, on Frederick Road at the intersection of Gunners Branch Road, where 30-year-old David Glenn Jenkins, of Germantown, was killed.

The investigation revealed that Flores was traveling southbound on Frederick Road at a high rate of speed when he struck Jenkins, who was crossing a crosswalk westbound towards Gunners Branch Road. Jenkins was then struck by the Honda Civic and Acura RSX who were in the same lane behind Flores.
Jenkins was pronounced dead on the scene.

Flores has been released from the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit on a $20,000 unsecured personal bond .
