Detectives Seek Public’s Help Identifying Suspect in Shooting Investigation

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, December 23, 2025

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a Silver Spring shooting that occurred on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s).

At approximately 7:37 p.m., 3rd District officers and Fire Rescue personnel were dispatched to the 13100 block of Musicmaster Drive for the report of a shooting. Responding officers located an adult male with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Currently, there are no suspects in custody.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
