Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit have located the vehicle and driver involved in the Wheaton September 23 fatal hit-and-run that resulted in the death of 52-year-old Ganga Prajapati.

On the afternoon of Friday, September 26, 2025, investigators with the Collision Reconstruction Unit located the suspect vehicle and driver in Laurel, MD. The vehicle is a silver 2012 Audi A4. The driver was located, and charges are pending further investigation. 

This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
