Detectives Investigate Wisconsin Avenue Robbery – MocoFeed

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- Major Crimes Division are investigating a robbery of the Tobacco King store on Sunday, April 28, 2024, in the 7000 block of Wisconsin Avenue. Detectives have released surveillance photos of the two suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.


The preliminary investigation by detectives has revealed that at approximately 7:58 p.m., two unknown suspects approached the store. Suspect one held open the door of the store while suspect two entered, approached the counter, and demanded money from the cash register. The employee complied with the suspects demands. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. Both suspects then left the scene.

Detectives have released surveillance photos of the suspects.


Suspect one is described as a White or Hispanic male, in his late teens, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, gray or white Avia shoes, a blue surgical mask and a gray baseball hat.

Suspect two is described as a Black male in his early twenties, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall. He was wearing all black clothing, one black latex glove, a black ski mask, white socks, and dark sneakers. He was carrying a black backpack.
