Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 5th District Investigative Section are investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday, May 17, 2024, in the 20500 block of Summersong Lane. Detectives have released surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.
At approximately 2:15 p.m., 5th District officers responded to the location for the report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located shell casings and observed a window to a residence that had been struck by gunfire.
Detectives reviewed surveillance video from the area and obtained a description of the suspect.
The suspect is described as a thin Black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a yellow mask.
