Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police Major Crimes Division are investigating the homicide of a 37-year-old Gaithersburg woman that occurred Sunday, June 21, 2026.
At approximately 8:16 a.m., 6th District officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded to the 8500 block of Snouffer School Road for the report of a working code.
When officers arrived, they found Ashlei Le Shae Jones in her apartment suffering from cutting injuries to her upper body. Jones was pronounced dead on scene.
Montgomery County Department of Police- Major Crimes Division detectives responded and are investigating the death as a homicide.
Jones was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME), where an autopsy was conducted. The OCME has classified the manner of death as a homicide.
At this time, no suspect is in custody.
