Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
At approximately 5 p.m., 2nd District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the intersection of Old Georgetown Road and Tilden Lane for the report of a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a van.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that 19-year-old Ezekial Solomon of Silver Spring, was driving a black and white 2013 BMW S 1000 RR motorcycle northbound on Old Georgetown Road when he struck a maroon 2018 Honda Odyssey that was traveling south on Old Georgetown Road. The driver of the Honda was attempting to make a left turn onto eastbound Tilden Lane.
The adult driver of the Honda remained on scene and was uninjured.
Solomon was pronounced dead at the scene.
This is an active and ongoing investigation.
