Detectives Investigate Garland Avenue Burglary; Surveillance Video of Suspect Released

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a burglary that occurred on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at an apartment in the 8500 block of Garland Avenue.
The investigation has revealed that the suspect forced entry into the apartment between 8:30 and 9:20 a.m. and grabbed property and money. When the victim opened the front door and saw the suspect in the living room, the suspect ran out of the apartment in possession of the stolen items and money and left the scene towards Domer Avenue.

Detectives reviewed the exterior camera of the apartment and obtained video footage of the suspect.
