Detectives Investigate Frederick Avenue Homicide

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, June 4, 2024

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating the death of 30-year-old Ange Gadji, as a homicide.

On Sunday, June 2, 2024, at approximately 5:11 a.m., Gaithersburg Police and Montgomery County Police officers responded to the 19700 block of North Frederick Ave. in Gaithersburg, for the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim, later identified as Gadji, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Gadji was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore conducted an autopsy and determined the cause and manner of death to be a homicide.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
