Dallas Avenue Block Party Detour Will Impact Ride On Route 19 on Tuesday, October 31

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, October 31, 2023

Due to a block party on Dallas Avenue in Wheaton, Ride On Route 19 will experience a detour on Tuesday, October 31 from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Details of the detour can be found below.

  • Route 19 to Brunett Avenue : From Forest Glen Road continue straight and turn right on Renfrew Road, left on Procter Street, right on Dennis Avenue, and back on route. Stops 21624, 21626 and 21628 will be bypassed. Use alternate stops 25062 and 22390.
  • Route 19 to Silver Spring : From Procter Street turn right on Renfrew Road, left on Forest Glen Road, and back on route. Stops 21620 and 21618 will be bypassed. Use alternate stops 25060 and 20660.

Ride On bus fare is only $1 and monthly passes are $22.50 using SmarTrip, cash, or tokens. Seniors age 65 or older, persons with disabilities and youth ages 18 and under all ride free using specialized SmartTrip cards.

Riders can plan trips online using the free Ride On Trip Planner App .
