The Montgomery County Commission for Women (CFW), in partnership with the Montgomery County Bar Association’s Family Law Section, will host a free monthly virtual seminar series, “Separation and Divorce: What Do I Need to Know?” beginning Wednesday, Oct. 7. The series will help residents understand the legal and practical aspects of separation and divorce in Maryland.
Sessions will be held via Zoom from 7–8:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month through June 2027.

A local family law attorney will lead the session, discussing legal details about separation and divorce in Maryland. Sessions will cover the following topics:
- Alimony
- Dispute resolution methods
- Financial statements
- Protective orders
- Property division
- When and where to file
Participants can register online. A Zoom link will be provided upon registration.
