Collision Reconstruction Unit Investigates Fatal Pedestrian Collision on Hungerford Road; Victim Identified

Gaithersburg, MD – The Montgomery County Department of Police Collision Reconstruction Unit ( CRU ) is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred on the evening of Tuesday , September 24, 2024.

At approximately 9:12 p.m., officers from the Rockville City Police Department and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the intersection of Hungerford Road and Beall Avenue for reports of a collision involving a silver 2010 Nissan Maxima and a pedestrian.

Preliminary findings from the investigation indicate that the driver of the Nissan Maxima was traveling northbound on Hungerford Road when they struck Del Cid Ramos . The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. CRU detectives urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them at (240) 773-6620.
