BOE Seeking Comment on Four Policies

The Board of Education is seeking comment on proposed amendments to four policies. Details are below:

• Board Policy DIG, Operating Fund Investments, to update processes for the investment of unexpended appropriated operating funds. Public comments are due by Wednesday, Dec. 3. 
• Board Policy DAA, Fiscal Responsibility and Control, to update processes that safeguard financial resources entrusted to the Board of Education. Public comments are due by Wednesday, Dec. 3. 
• Board Policy GIG, Funding Retirement/Pension System, to update processes for the investment of unexpended appropriated operating funds. Public comments are due by Wednesday, Dec. 3. 
• Board Policy IGS, Emerging Technologies in Education, to update guiding principles for integrating emerging technologies into MCPS operations and instruction. Public comments are due by Monday, Jan. 26, 2026.
