Adult Male Arrested in Connection with Bowlero Bethesda Shooting

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigative Section have arrested and charged 22-year-old Devon Edwards of an unknown address with a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 29, 2025, outside Bowlero Bethesda in the 5300 block of Westbard Avenue.
At approximately 12:22 a.m., officers responded to the location for a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers recovered multiple shell casings.
Detectives reviewed the surveillance footage of the business and determined that two separate groups exchanged gunfire before leaving the scene. No injuries were reported as a result of the shooting.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Devon Edwards as one of the suspects who discharged a firearm.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant against Edwards, charging him with first-degree assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, reckless endangerment and conspiracy to commit malicious destruction of property.
On Friday, May 23, Edwards was taken into custody by the Metropolitan Police Department on the outstanding arrest warrant and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond.
