Detectives Attempt to Locate Family of Man Injured in Bus Collision

For Immediate Release: Monday, March 30, 2026

Gaithersburg, MD – The Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a serious pedestrian collision. Detectives are attempting to locate family members of the victim, who was struck by a Ride On bus on March 25, 2026. The victim, 36-year-old Jose Erasmo Rojas, remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Rojas has ties to Newark, NJ and has been in the Montgomery County area for approximately one year.
