About 430 students from MCPS middle and high schools took part in the Montgomery County History Day competition on March 7 at Sligo Middle School. This competition started in 2016 and has grown over the years. More than 180 people volunteered as judges to interview and score the students’ projects.
The top two projects from each category (documentary, website, paper, performance, exhibit) in both individual and group were recognized and will move on to compete at the state level. The state competition is Saturday, May 2 at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
