Registration for Montgomery County Recreation’s Winter Programs Starts Tuesday, Nov. 18 – Mocofeed

Montgomery County Recreation will open registration for its 2025-26 winter programs, classes and activities on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 6:30 a.m. for most programs and activities. Registration for all senior programs, including Bone Builders, will begin the same day at 9 a.m. 

                                   


Non-County residents can register for winter programming on Thursday, Nov. 20, starting at 6:30 a.m. 

There is a wide variety of engaging and enriching activities for all ages this winter. Explore the entire list of available programs in the digital Winter GUIDE, which will be viewable online on Friday, Nov. 7.

“Our Recreation Department plays a vital role in building a healthier, more connected community,” said Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich. “As we head into winter, I encourage our residents to take advantage of these programs that can help us stay active and connected while supporting our mental and physical health. Whether it’s a fitness class, a photography club or a youth sports league, there’s something for everyone.”

  • Aquatics: Swim lessons, water fitness, diving, kayaking and scuba 
  • Arts: Pottery, painting and drawing 
  • Dance: Ballet, ballroom, tap and line dancing 
  • Fitness: Zumba, Pilates, yoga, aerobics and body sculpting 
  • Martial arts: Aikido, karate, taekwondo and tai chi 
  • Music: Guitar, piano and violin 
  • STEAM: Coding, engineering and gemology 
  • Sports: Basketball, hockey, pickleball, soccer, volleyball and ultimate frisbee 
  • Therapeutic recreation programs tailored for individuals with disabilities, such as indoor rock climbing, fitness, arts and crafts, dance and music 
  • 55+ senior programs geared for older adults seeking social, fitness and educational opportunities 


How to Register 

Residents are encouraged to register online at ActiveMONTGOMERY.org. Make sure to log into your ActiveMONTGOMERY account in advance to ensure your information is current. Instructions on how to create or update an account, along with answers to frequently asked questions, are available here. 

In addition to online registration, you can also register in person starting at 6:30 a.m. on registration day at the County’s administrative office in Wheaton (2425 Reedie Drive, 10th floor) and at any County indoor aquatic center or at any other Montgomery County Recreation center during regular business hours.
