Montgomery County Council to Host Youth Town Hall meeting on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. – Mocofeed

Posted on October 8, 2025

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, October 8, 2025

Students are encouraged to share their views with Councilmembers and will receive student-service learning hours for advocacy

The Montgomery County Council will host a Youth Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Council Office Building in Rockville. This annual meeting with students promotes youth engagement in community and public policy issues and allows Councilmembers to hear directly from young people about their concerns and views.

“I look forward to the Council’s Youth Town Hall every year, as it allows us to engage directly with students, who are not just the next generation of leaders but leading today,” said Council President Kate Stewart. “At a time when our national politics are turbulent and aimed at dividing us, the voices of our young people remind us of the values that unite us as we work together to shape a better future. Listening to the aspirations and priorities of our students helps inform the Council’s policymaking.”
