MCPS UPDATE: Northwood HS remains in LOCKDOWN, and police continue their investigation, but police do have an individual in custody. Will continue to update as information becomes available.
Montgomery County Police Department officers responded to a report of a person with a gun in the 11200 block of Old Georgetown Road at 11:04 a.m. As a precaution, nearby Northwood High School was placed in a secure status, but the report was later determined to be unfounded, and officers have cleared the scene.
