Council President Stewart to Hold Media Availability on April 21 at 1 p.m.

ROCKVILLE, Md., April 18, 2025 — On Monday, April 21 at 1 p.m., Montgomery County Council President Kate Stewart will hold a media availability to discuss various Council matters and highlight the County’s upcoming celebrations for Earth Day.
Council President Stewart will summarize the Government Operations and Fiscal Policy Committee’s review of the FY26 Operating Budget compensation and benefits recommendations for County agencies. She will also preview upcoming items on the Council’s agenda, including a full Council briefing on the Capital Improvements Program, and an expected vote on a resolution to establish an advisory workgroup on a strategic plan for County grants.
Additionally, Stewart will provide an overview of the of the recent Maryland State and Local Government Career Fair that took place on April 16 at the Silver Spring Civic Building, and highlight the Council’s next United in Service & Support Webinar on April 23 at 11:30 a.m., which will be led by Councilmember Natali Fani-González.
The Council president’s media availability will be held via Zoom and is for members of the news media. The public can view the media availability on the Council’s Facebook page ( @MontgomeryCountyMdCouncil ).
