Montgomery County Recreation’s Fashion Boot Camp Finale Showcase Taking Place on Friday, March 28 at East County Community Recreation Center

Students are set to walk the runway as Season 9 of Montgomery County Recreation’s Fashion Boot Camp comes to a close with a finale showcase event on Friday, March 28 at East County Community Recreation Center .

The popular Fashion Boot Camp program run by Montgomery County Recreation’s Youth Development Team provides a unique experience for middle and high school students between ages 12-18 that combines the challenge and creativity of fashion, modeling, performing, music and creative arts.

Dozens of young, talented individuals have been practicing and rehearsing over the course of this year’s 11-week program, learning how to walk the runway in preparation of shining as top models for the finale showcase performance. The participants build confidence, discipline and leadership skills in an inclusive space for all youth, which has led to many students to return year after year.

A new addition to this year’s finale is the opening of the runway for the County’s 55+ senior adults . These participants will also star in the show celebrating and showcasing the culture of New Orleans.

The finale event is open to the public with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show starting at 7:30 p.m.
