Virtual Public Meeting on the Cattail Road Bridge Replacement Project in Poolesville to be Held on Monday, March 10
For Immediate Release: Tuesday, March 4, 2025

On Monday, March 10, at 7 p.m., the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a virtual (online) public information meeting to discuss the proposed Cattail Road bridge replacement project (Bridge M-0491) over a dry Seneca Creek tributary in Poolesville. The public will have an opportunity to provide comments and ask questions.
The Cattail Road Bridge was constructed in 1975 and is currently in poor condition. MCDOT is working proactively to replace the bridge before it becomes a safety hazard.
At the public meeting, MCDOT will present project details, costs, and the project schedule. MCDOT will also obtain public comments and answer questions. Public input is encouraged and may influence the final design of the project.
Please register online to attend. After registering, the Zoom platform will send registrants an email containing the Zoom link and passcode needed to join the virtual meeting.
The public is encouraged to visit the project website and provide feedback via the online comment form or via email to the Project Manager, Rashid Abramov at [email protected] . Written comments carry the same weight as oral comments expressed at the meeting. All information provided will become a matter of public record.
