A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8. With snow and freezing rain expected, Montgomery County officials are urging residents to prepare for slippery roads and bridges.

Precipitation will likely start as snow in the late morning hours before transitioning to sleet and eventually freezing rain through the afternoon. As temperatures warm, precipitation will transition to rain on Saturday evening. Up to one inch of snow and sleet accumulation is expected, and ice accumulations of up to one-tenth of an inch are possible.
