The investigation has revealed that Forbes and Ogbotor entered the store and attempted to make a purchase. Ogbotor pulled out a knife and approached the employee who was working behind the counter, while Forbes was displaying a handgun. Ogbotor and Forbes then removed an undisclosed amount of money from the cash registers and left the scene on foot. The employee contacted 911 and provided a description of Forbes and Ogbotor.

Responding officers located two individuals, later identified as Ogbotor and Forbes, who matched the description of the suspects in the 2200 block of Broadbirch Drive. Upon seeing the officers, Ogbotor and Forbes ran away.

Officers located Forbes in the 2301 block of Broadbirch Drive and recovered a 9mm handgun in his possession.

Forbes and Ogbotor, both of Prince George’s County, were taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. Ogbotor was charged with armed robbery and Forbes was charged with armed robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence. They are being held without bond.
