The Ride On Glenmont Express Shuttle was launched in response to Metro’s partial Red Line closure from July 6 – Sept. 6. The free Ride On shuttle provides direct service between Milestone Park-and-Ride, Shady Grove and Glenmont Metro Stations, and operates every 40 minutes on Monday – Friday from 6-9 a.m. and 3-7 p.m.
Due to community feedback gathered through the Glenmont Express Survey, the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) transit division, Ride On, has made the decision to continue Glenmont Express Shuttle service through Wednesday, Sept. 30, to monitor ridership to determine whether the service will continue long term.
The County has implemented a free-fare policy for all Ride On, Ride On extRa, Ride On Flex, and Flash buses.
