Ride On In-Person Public Forum on Proposed Changes to Bus Route 76 Pick Up and Drop Off at Quince Orchard High School to be held on Tuesday, Dec. 5 – MocoFeed

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold an in-person public forum on Tuesday, Dec. 5, starting at 6:30 p.m., to discuss the proposed changes to move bus Route 76 pick-up and drop-off location for Quince Orchard High School to one half block away to state Route 28 (Darnestown Road) as well as an extension of the route to the Crossvines in Poolesville for weekday rush hour trips. Attendees will have an opportunity to provide comments and ask questions.

The forum will be in the Quince Orchard High School cafeteria ( 15800 Quince Orchard Road ) in Gaithersburg.

Individuals and representatives of organizations who would like to speak at the public forum can send their request by email to , by fax to 240-777-5801 or by calling 240-777-5800 on or before Friday, Dec. 1, with the following information:

  • Name
  • Home Address
  • Telephone Number
  • E-mail Address; and
  • Organization (if affiliated with one)

Individuals who have signed up to speak must provide a copy of their testimony by email, for the record by Monday, Dec. 4. Testimony and information provided will become a matter of public record.

Comments may also be written, faxed, or e-mailed on the proposed service changes and carry the same weight as spoken testimony. Testimony and information provided will become a matter of public record.

Comments in writing will be accepted by 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 4. All comments are welcome and will be considered before any changes are finalized.

Sign language and interpreter services will be provided upon request. Requests must be received no later than 5 business days before the date of the forum. Large print format will be available upon request.
