Rockville, MD – In the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, MD, the Honorable Ann Harrington sentenced defendant Taric Wilson, 18, of Silver Spring, to five years in prison, with all but 98 days suspended, and three years of supervised probation upon release.
Wilson entered a guilty plea on August 12, 2026, to the charge of possession of a firearm under the age of 21. The defendant was 17 at the time of the offense; however, he pleaded guilty to an adult charge.

This stems from an incident on April 29, 2026, in the parking lot of Blake High School. The defendant was in possession of a firearm, which discharged during an altercation with several individuals. He suffered injuries to the foot and leg. Co-defendant Djibia Gombo is pending trial on charges of first-degree assault and possession of a dangerous weapon on school property.
Assistant State’s Attorneys Shawn Michael and Peter Larson are handling the prosecution of this matter.
