Stay busy this summer and make it a memorable one with Montgomery County Recreation. Summer program registration for County residents kicks off Tuesday, May 13, at 6:30 a.m. for most programs and activities. Registration for all senior programs, including Bone Builders, Day Trippers and Senior Outdoor Adventures in Recreation (SOAR), will begin at 9 a.m.
“We encourage all County residents to commit to staying active and healthy this summer,” said Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich. “Montgomery County Recreation’s summer programming offers a variety of fun and engaging options for all ages, from swimming lessons for our youth to outdoor day trips for active 55 and older seniors. Whatever your interests are, we hope you explore and take advantage of these high-quality programs where you can learn new skills, live a healthier lifestyle and build social connections with other members of the community.”
Registration for non-County residents begins on Thursday, May 15, at 6:30 a.m.

While online registration at ActiveMONTGOMERY is highly encouraged, registration will also be accepted in-person, by mail or drop-off. On May 13, in-person registration will be available at 6:30 a.m. at the County’s aquatic centers and at the administrative office in Wheaton, located on the 10th floor at 2425 Reedie Drive. Registration will also be available in-person at all other Recreation facilities during regular business hours.
Applications for Recreation’s financial assistance program, Rec Assist, are currently being accepted. County residents who meet the program’s requirements can receive $400 per eligible family member in Rec Assist funds to use towards Recreation program fees.
Refund requests for classes, camps, leagues, trips and tours must be submitted 14 days prior to the start of an activity to receive a full refund. Refund requests submitted after the start of an activity or posted league schedule will not be issued a refund. Learn more about the full refund policy.
