Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will have the opportunity to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing, scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29.
This week, the County Executive will focus on public safety and preview National Night Out, which will occur on Tuesday, Aug. 4. He’ll discuss recent news like the White’s Ferry acquisition and gun safety legislation signed into law on Monday. The County Executive will also recount his Farm Tour experience over the weekend and look ahead to the Ag Fair in a few weeks. His guest this week will be:
- Deputy Chief Darren Francke, chief of patrol, Montgomery County Department of Police
The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government, and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o’connor@montgomerycountymd.gov on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
