Council President Natali Fani-González Will be This Week’s Special Guest on “En Sintonía con el Concejo del Condado de Montgomery” Friday at 2 p.m. on Radio America – Mocofeed

Posted on July 24, 2026

The featured guests on this week’s edition of En Sintonia con el Concejo del Condado de Montgomery (In Tune with the Montgomery County Council) will include Montgomery County Council President Natali Fani-González, who chairs the Council’s Economic Development Committee; Lourdes Parry, M.D., M.P.H., T.T.S., a physician specializing in public health; and Carmen Lezama, managing director of the Mansfield Kaseman Health Clinic. The show will air on Friday, July 24 at 2 p.m. on Radio America (WILC 900AM) and is streamed on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Amazon Music.

The program will open with special guest Council President Natali Fani-González, who will discuss the recent launch of Montgomery County’s reporting portal for residents to share information about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity in the community. The portal is one of several measures established under two recently enacted County laws: the Unmask ICE Act (Bill 5-26) and the County Values Act (Bill 3-26). During the interview, Council President Fani-González will explain how the portal supports transparency and helps strengthen communication with the community.

Following the immigration segment, the program will shift its focus to summer health and preventive care. Dr. Lourdes Parry and Carmen Lezada from the Mansfield Kaseman Health Clinic will share practical recommendations on staying healthy during the warmer months, with an emphasis on staying hydrated and using sunscreen to protect the skin from harmful UV rays. The Mansfield Kaseman Health Clinic provides affordable healthcare services to uninsured adult residents of Montgomery County.

The Montgomery County Council and Radio America have entered a partnership that provides the Latino community with key information on issues and programs. The partnership also provides a forum for residents to express their views and ask questions. The partnership includes the weekly one-hour show each Friday on the Washington metropolitan area’s most popular Spanish language station.

Each week, the show features host Marcela Rodriguez, Council program manager and public information officer, and guests talking about important issues before the Council and provides information about programs offered by the County to help residents.
