Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating an armed robbery at a For Eyes Optical located in the 9600 block of Lost Knife Road in Gaithersburg.
The investigation has revealed that at approximately 2 p.m., on Monday, June 29, 2026, the suspect entered the store, selected merchandise and attempted to leave without paying. When an employee attempted to stop him, the suspect displayed a knife and then left the store with the stolen merchandise.
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5-feet, 9-inches tall and 180 pounds with dark hair and a beard. The suspect is believed to be approximately 35 to 45-years-old.
