Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County Cultural Plan Update
Update: The EC Committee will receive an update on the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County Cultural Plan. The committee previously received an update on the development of the cultural plan at a meeting held on March 24, 2025. The update will include an overview of the Cultural Plan Draft Executive Summary, which is available in the Council staff report. The plan was developed by the Arts and Humanities Council in partnership with Metris Arts Consulting. The plan was created through a community-centered research process to serve as the foundation for arts, culture and the humanities in the County. The Arts and Humanities Council commissioned their last cultural plan in 2001, titled Creative Montgomery – A Vision for Arts and Humanities. Through grants and cultural programming, the Arts and Humanities Council cultivates and supports excellence in the arts and humanities, expands access to cultural expression and contributes to economic vitality in the region.
