Montgomery County residents are invited to attend the inaugural Taste of Burtonsville on Saturday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free community event will feature international cuisine from local restaurants, live music, and family-friendly activities.
The East County Regional Services Center and the Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce are hosting the event, which will take place in the parking lot behind Restaurant 198, located at 15540 Old Columbia Pike in Burtonsville.
Attendees will have the opportunity to sample food from several local restaurants, enjoy live performances by The JoGo Project, and participate in activities at the Kids Activity Zone. Admission includes access to the event, the Kids Activity Zone, and live music.
Attendees may purchase food tickets in advance or at the event. A seven-ticket package is available for $25 in advance, while individual tickets will be sold at the event for $5 each.
“This event is an opportunity for people from throughout Montgomery County to visit Burtonsville, support local restaurants, and experience everything this vibrant area has to offer,” said Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich. “Small businesses are a big part of the fabric of this community, and an event like this is a great way to showcase them. I encourage everyone to attend, enjoy the food and music, and learn more about what Burtonsville has to offer.”
Parking will be available at and near the event location. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and follow posted parking instructions and directions from event staff upon arrival.
