Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a shooting that occurred in a parking lot in the 14100 block of Castle Boulevard in Silver Spring.
At approximately 7:47 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the location for the report of a shooting.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that the victim was walking through the parking lot when two unknown Black male suspects, one of whom was armed with an AR-style firearm, began shooting at the victim. The suspects then entered a silver SUV, which was being driven by a third suspect, and left the scene.
No injuries were reported. No suspect information is available at this time.
