Gaithersburg, MD – The Montgomery County Department of Police arrested a juvenile after officers responded to a suspicious situation in Gaithersburg.
On September 11, 2026, at approximately 1:06 a.m., Montgomery County Police officers responded to the 17600 block of Town Crest Drive for a report of several individuals looking into vehicles.
Upon arrival, officers observed four males get out of two vehicles and run toward a wooded area. Officers provided responding units with descriptions of the suspects and established a perimeter.
One 15-year-old suspect was located and taken into custody without incident.
Three stolen vehicles were recovered at the scene. The other suspects were not located.
The juvenile was arrested for motor vehicle theft and malicious destruction of property. Montgomery County Police recommended charges to the Department of Juvenile Services.
